What is Youth Mentoring of the Southern Tier?

Youth Mentoring of the Southern Tier is a site-based mentoring program that meets once a week at a designated location. During each hour long program, Mentors and Mentees participate in fund and enriching activities facilitated by Site Coordinators. Youth Mentoring of the Southern Tier offers site based mentoring in Corning, Elmira, Whitesville, and Belmont, New York.

Safe & Effective Matches

The safety and wellbeing of the youth we serve is Youth Mentoring of the Southern Tier’s highest priority. Therefore, Mentors are thoroughly screened including background and references checks. All Mentors attend a training and orientation facilitated by our New York State Mentoring Program representative. The Mentee/Mentor matches are effective because professional staff ensure that the relationships are safe and rewarding for everyone.
